My name is Dave Kang and I am a concept artist based in Toronto, Canada. I grew up in a city outside of Seoul Korea called Bucheon where I got to experience the blend of eighties driven childhood and love for cartoons. At the age of fourteen, I followed my parents to Toronto and blossomed in Mississauga before studying at Ontario College of Art and Design. After graduating with a Bachelor of Design in illustration I headed south to Colorado where I first learned how to paint digitally.

I have been working in the gaming industry since and I worked on projects such as Tap Titans, Lego Universe, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Beat The Boss, Battle Run, and Year Of The Ladybug.

Today, with a family of my own, the meaning of 'artistic journey' has taken on new meaning with the new responsibilities accompanying my pursuits at being a tender husband and father.

My goal is to create something fun everyday. I don't get philosophical about my work. I just get very excited.
